Simon Myring - Director
Simon has almost twenty years experience in the local property market, having sold thousands of homes in Harrogate and surrounding villages in both happy and more troubled times. Simon's early experience was with one of the UK's largest corporate Estate Agents and has the distinction of being one of their youngest ever branch managers.
He went on to found and run, as a partner, a Harrogate based independent Estate Agents for eleven years before leaving to set up the family business - Myrings Estate Agents Ltd.
Myrings is new company incorporating all the best ideas/practices - concentrating on what vendors and potential buyers actually need and value.
Central to this way of working is a commitment to get to know our clients and their property really well. Simon is a member of Harrogate Squash club - currently plays for Yorkshire seniors- and is also a member of Oakdale Golf club.
Gemma Myring - Director
Gemma has considerable experience in banking, finance and the property business having worked alongside Simon for the past 10 years in the family estate agency business.
Gemma has worked for a major UK bank as well as on the trading floor of the European Stock Exchange in Amsterdam as well as working in the marketing department at Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate.
Gemma is currently renovating her own property in Pannal where she lives with her husband Steve and three children, Henry, Molly and Daisy - the two eldest attending Pannal Primary School.
Charles Myring - Director
Charles has just celebrated 50 years in the textile business and still consults on fashion and colouration to some the biggest Retailers and Brands in the UK, having also received a lifetime achievement award. He has travelled the world and has great contacts in the Textile world here in the UK and overseas and assists the business as required.
Simon Bentley Briscoe - Valuer
Syd, as he is known joined us after sixteen years of experience in the New Builds and Property Development sector.
He has a 'hands on' understanding of the all the intricacies of planning, project management and working with tradesmen.
He has gained his NFOPP qualification and is a great enthusiast who just loves the property business.
Syd grew up in Knaresborough and still lives there with his wife Katie and two children, George and Harry.
Emma Chadwick - Sales Progression
After leaving Newcastle University, Emma worked for one of the major corporate Estate Agents in Harrogate for 5 years and then joined the Myrings team last year. Emma is the person dedicated to sales progression. Emma's calm, considered and meticulous approach to her work makes her an ideal choice for such a pressure position.
Emma, originally from Harewood now lives in the Harrogate town centre with her partner Jonathon.
Samantha King - Sales Negotiator
Sam adds a wealth and depth of property experience to the team at Myrings and has been in the property business for over 10 years. Initially selling overseas property in Spain, Sam moved into the new build homes and residential sales market in 2003 and was involved at senior level achieving property sales of over £40million in Leeds in 2004.
In 2005/6 Sam project managed the build of 6 major property developments in the Yorkshire area and then progressed to renovating her own development properties in both the UK and Ibiza.
Sam enjoys life in Harrogate with her 2 children Grace and Freddie!
Colin Bonham - Sales Negotiator
Colin first came to us on a work experience placement from Ashville College in 2007. He made an excellent impression during that time, and we encouraged him to join us on a full time basis once he had finished his studies. Since his appointment Colin has quickly developed into valuable member of the team and has proven himself to be an outstanding sales negotiator and communicator. He has already gained his NFOPP qualifications and wants to make a name for himself and a great career in the property business.
Colin lives at home with his Mother Cheryl and younger brother Ciaran in Summerbridge.
Clare Smith - Sales Negotiator
Clare has many years experience in Customer Service, Retail Management, IT sales and financial sales for a UK bank. As well as experience of working in Europe for a major pharmacutical company. She has project managed the complete renovation of the family home in Harrogate and has made numerous contacts as a result. She moved from her native Northern Ireland 21 years ago and has been living and working in Yorkshire for the past 11 years. Clare has two teenage daughters who are both educated in Harrogate, Clare is an active member of the school and is involved in numerous social and charity events.
