Tens of thousands of spectators descended on Knaresborough town centre on Saturday to watch the famous Bed Race.
Myrings Estate Agents were this year’s proud media sponsors of the race, accompanying the parade with the 90 teams and schools from the town and handing out freebies to the cheering crowds that lined the streets of Knaresborough.
It was a team effort as always from Myrings, with both the Sales and Lettings team adorned in the agents’ football shirts and accompanied by their children, the youngest of whom, William Chapman is the youngest member of the Myrings team at only 3 months old!
The whole day was a roaring success with Gemma and Simon Myring both overwhelmed by the vast number of people who turned up despite the threat of rain to cheer on the teams and line the parade.
“We’re thrilled to have been a part of such a fantastic event, praise must go to The Knaresborough Lions and all involved in organising the day for the smooth running and management of so many people.
Walking the parade with our staff and families was a real pleasure and seeing all the faces of the hoards of spectators getting into the spirit of the Bed Race was really wonderful.
We regularly have properties on the market in Knaresborough, both in the town itself and also along its historic water front, so it seemed only right we get involved to support such an iconic event.”
Myrings hope to be back next year, and may even be running the race themselves!
